It's going to be another great day for a swim meet at the Franklin Pool!  We are so proud of our team for hosting 3 home meets in a row.  It takes a village to run a swim meet and thank you to everyone that has contributed!

Tent Set up

If you come to the pool this evening to set up your personal tent, please wait until 7:15 PM.

Meet Theme: USA!
Let’s make the pool deck look like July 4th!

The meet timeline is:

• 6:15 - Pool Gates Open
• 6:45-7:15 – Ben Franklin swimmers warm up
• 7:15-7:45 – Visitor swimmers warm up
• 7:20 – Scratch meeting
• 7:30 – Stroke Judge meeting by the starter tent (MANDATORY: ALL SHIFTS MUST ATTEND)
• 7:40 - Timer meeting by the starter tent (MANDATORY: ALL SHIFTS MUST ATTEND)
• 7:50 - Heating begins for events 1-11
• 7:55 – National Anthem
• 8:00 – The meet begins!

Tent Location:

We will set up our team tent under the trees, west of the slide. Families can set up tents almost anywhere inside the pool area except where we put our team tent and behind concessions.

Concessions:

• Cash, card or Venmo
• If your last name starts with R-Z, we kindly ask that you bring drinks (soda, sparkling water, Gatorade, etc) for concessions to sell. When families donate drinks, we can generate more money for our team to purchase equipment. (like new tents and folding tables)

FRIENDLY REMINDER

Franklin Fish is a recreational swim team, and our meets are made possible entirely by amazing parent volunteers. Please direct any questions or concerns to Gill or Lissa — and kindly avoid approaching coaches, (unless it's positive) timers, stroke judges, the starter, and head ref during the meet.

Most importantly: cheer loud, support all swimmers, and have FUN! 💙🐟

Good Sportsmanship:

Our team has great sportsmanship, lets keep it up!  Swimmers should stay in the water until all swimmers in their heat have touched the wall. We also encourage swimmers to tell the swimmers next to them, "good race" and shake hands after the race is over.
