The Ben Franklin Swim Team is sponsored by the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, and a member of Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL). The purpose of the League is to provide an opportunity for kids ages 18 & under to develop swimming skills and gain a positive, recreational experience through competition. There are four divisions, each based on the number of swimmers and ranking of each team. Ben Franklin is in Division B. Ben Franklin has had approximately 130 swimmers the last few seasons.

Swimmers are divided into age groups for practices and swim meets events. The age of the swimmer on June 1 determines the age group the swimmer will compete in throughout the summer season. The age group divisions are as follows:

• 6 & Under
• 8 & Under
• 9-10
• 11-12
• 13-14
• 15-18

1. Swimmers on the Ben Franklin Swim Team are required to register through a two step process:
   1.  South Suburban Parks and Recreation District (SSPRD)  
   2.  Swimtopia
2. Many volunteers are needed to run a successful swim season. All families are responsible for fulfilling a volunteer commitment. We will open signups for volunteer shifts in May. This team works because of volunteers like you. 
3. The registration fee goes to the District to pay League registration fees, coach salaries, swimmer insurance, pool maintenance, and life guards. Booster fees covers insurance and swim team equipment, supplies, and entry fees for Preliminaries.
