Welcome Ben Franklin Summer Swim Team
The Ben Franklin Swim Team is sponsored by the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, and a member of Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL). The purpose of the League is to provide an opportunity for kids ages 18 & under to develop swimming skills and gain a positive, recreational experience through competition. There are four divisions, with each division based on the number of swimmers and ranking of each team. Ben Franklin is in the D Division, comprised of the larger teams. Ben Franklin has had approximately 125 swimmers the last few seasons.
Swimmers are divided into age groups for practices and swim meets events. The age of the swimmer on June 1 determines the age group the swimmer will compete in throughout the summer season. The age group divisions are as follows:
- 6 & Under
- 8 & Under
- Swimmers on the Ben Franklin Swim Team are required to register through both South Suburban Parks and Recreation District (SSPRD) and Swimtopia.

- Many volunteers are needed to run a successful swim season. All families are responsible for fulfilling a volunteer commitment. Once you have completed your registration for SSPRD, we will open signups for volunteer shifts on this site. This team only works because of the volunteers working their shifts as expected. Please do not ask for special treatment. This applies equally to ALL families participating in swim team.
- The registration fee goes to the District to pay League registration fees, coach salaries, swimmer insurance, pool maintenance, equipment, and fees for Preliminaries entries. Booster fees covers insurance and swim team equipment and supplies.
