DEADLINE FOR PRELIMS IS 6/30/25 AT MIDNIGHT- DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP
Hi Everyone,
This email is a little long, but it’s packed with important information about Prelims Week. Please read it thoroughly—we do not have the ability to make changes or late additions, as all entries are handled by the league, which has a strict no-change policy (except for scratches).
🧡 Volunteer Shifts – We Need You!
We have many open volunteer positions during prelims, and our team is required to fill specific shifts.
If you're still working toward your 8 volunteer points, this is your big opportunity.
⚠️ Reminder: Our volunteer policy is all or nothing—if you don’t reach your 8 points, the full $200 fee will be charged. There is no partial credit for hours already completed.
➡️ Please log in and sign up for a shift as soon as possible!
🗓 Entry Deadline – No Exceptions
Because prelims require more preparation, all entries must be declared by
🕛 Sunday, June 30 at midnight.
This deadline is firm to allow coaches time to build the strongest relay teams.
💥 There will be no late additions—unlike regular meets.
🎉 What to Expect at Prelims
Prelims run like a regular meet, but only your swimmer’s age group will be there. It’s always a fun and exciting event!
- The top 16 in each event move on to Finals.
- Places 17 & 18 are listed as alternates.
- Even if your swimmer isn’t likely to qualify individually, relays are a great opportunity to make it to Finals.
👉 If you sign up, especially for relays, please commit to being available for Finals on Saturday.
It causes major issues when a relay qualifies but a swimmer is unavailable, and we may have to scratch the entire team, which is heartbreaking after all their hard work.
I know this is a lot—thank you for sticking with it! I'll send more info as we get closer, but the two big takeaways for now:
- Declare your swimmer by June 30 at midnight.
- Sign up for a volunteer shift if you still need points.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Thanks so much!
Emily and Gill
