Prelims is just around the corner! Registration is now open so you can declare your events for your swimmer's age group prelims. Declarations are due by July 2nd at 4pm! We cannot make changes after the deadline!

How Prelims & Finals Work

Prelims are run by age group from Monday, July 8th through Thursday, July 11th. The top 16 swimmers for each event will qualify for Finals on Saturday, July 13th.

Finals races work a little differently than normal meets. There's two heats for each event: the Championship heat for the top 8 qualifiers & the Consolidation heat for swimmers who qualified 9th - 16th. Your place is only judged within the heat so the highest place a Consolidation heat swimmer can reach is 9th—even if they swim faster than all the Championship heat swimmers. It's weird, I know. If this doesn't make any sense to you, ask me about it in person and I can try to explain it better.

Code of Conduct

The league wanted us to remind everyone that there is a code of conduct we all agreed to! Let's have a great prelims & finals. It's summer swim team so this should be fun.

a. Any inappropriate/rude/aggressive language or actions will result in immediate dismissal from any Prelims events with disciplinary actions from the RMSL grievance committee.

b. Please remain in our team tent area and only enter the pool deck when their swimmer is actively participating. It gets very crowded at prelims & finals.

c. ONLY Parent reps are allowed to dispute calls.

d. If there is a concern, parents should let the parent reps of their teams know so parent reps can address the concern

e. NO VIDEO evidence will be used considered/watched.

Unfortunately, we had incidents last year so there will be two off-duty Douglas County Police Officers at Finals this year.
