Franklin Fish!

Tomorrow we'll have our first meet at Cherry Knolls. The weather is supposed to be cold in the early morning so bring some jackets and blankets. It's expected to warm up to the 80s by noon though.

Time Trials, Grilling, & Fruit

Thanks to everyone who made it to Time Trials yesterday and today. We had some kinks to work out but we made it work and hopefully y'all had some fun too!

Also, our fantastic concessions managers, Jennifer Milstead & Marcia Levy, are adding grilling and fresh fruit to our menu for home meets this year. If you are interested in manning (or womanning) the grill or if you're interested in helping to prep fruit for sale, let us know or sign up in the job slots on SwimTopia.

Arrival

The pool is located at: 3601 E. Costilla Place

The parking lot is small so you'll most likely need to park on the street in the surrounding neighborhood. Please be mindful of driveways.

You can setup tents in the grassy area just north of the baby pool. Look for our team tent.

Our theme for tomorrow is Derby. I'm not sure why they chose such a difficult theme but let's see what you all come up with!

Code of Conduct

Please remember that this is a summer recreation league and to be respectful to the meet officials, timers, stroke judges, and the other team! Almost everyone is a volunteer. You can find the Parent Code of Conduct that was included in registration.

If you have any challenges to DQs, you must talk to a parent rep (me or Emily). Do not bring issues directly to the meet manager.

Concessions

Cherry Knolls will be selling burritos & donuts at concessions in the morning and they will be grilling burgers, veggie burgers, & hot dogs around lunch time. They'll also have a variety of sugar-high-inducing snacks. They accept cash or credit.

Timeline

- 7:15-7:45: BF swimmers warm-up
- 7:40: Stroke Judge and Timers (both shifts) meeting with Starter/Ref (by starter tent) -  - 7:45: Heating begins for events 1-11
- 7:55: National anthem
- 8:00: Meet begins
