Great first week Fish!

We had over 100 swimmers show up this week for practice. It's great to see kids back in the water. We only had to cancel one practice which is pretty good considering Colorado's weather in May.

Volunteer Points

We had more families sign up than we anticipated this year so we need to lower the volunteer requirement per family to 8 points. If you have signed up for more than 8 points, please log into SwimTopia and reduce your hours to get you to 8. Please adjust your points sometime this week. By the end of the week, we'll adjust for you so we can make shifts available to everyone. If you're a Stroke Judge, feel free to keep all of your shifts—and thank you for being a Stroke Judge!

Big Fish Little Fish

Each year, we run a program called Big Fish Little Fish to pair up young swimmers with an older swimmer buddy. It's a great way to connect kids across age groups and gives kids an opportunity for mentoring. If your child is interested in the program, please fill out this form.

Also, we need a parent to help coordinate the program! If you're interested, please e-mail me and I can provide you more details. This role counts towards volunteer points.

Did you attend Stroke Judge training?

If you attended the in-person stroke judge training yesterday morning, please let me know! The league did not take attendance so we're tracking it with the honor system.

If you didn't attend but want to be a stroke judge, let me know as well. We can get you training and mentoring to get you up to speed.

Swim Cap Orders

If you ordered a cap, please see your coach this week. The caps are at the pool and are labeled. If you want a Ben Franklin cap, please order one from our SwimTopia  swim cap order page and we will deliver this week to practice.
